MAPPING

Vibe Mapping

I participated in the Vibe Map development at Perkins & Will to visualize the distribution of urban infrastructure, amenities, and collective vibrancy. Originally designed to help urban planners make strategic decisions for future development and phasing, this data visualization tool can also be converted to help users plan a day trip with friends and family, find an apartment before moving to a new city, or simply look for a neighborhood to discover its district character.

DEVELOPMENT MAP

Development Map

I initiated and led the mapping research and data visualization process to figure out which part of the site is feasible for high density urban development, building vehicular circulation infrastructure, or villas. Such analysis generated quantitative conclusions for development projection while protecting existing ecosystem and natural habitats.

On top of the site analysis scope, I improved the parametric slope analysis tool, increasing tool adoption by 3X in Perkins & Will US offices.

3D DESIGN

Parametric 3D Modeling

Through my 7 years of academic study and 11 years of professional practice, I was always the early adopter of cutting-edge complex architecture softwares, from 3D modeling to rendering and animations. I was selected as the tech leaders integrated in the design team, mentoring other architects to grasp software tips and testing newly launched softwares.
